A Happy Thought

When you go to bed this evening....try this.....

Visualise any number of animals around the world, like an Orang Utan in Asia, munching on some fruit, Emperor Penquins  in Antarctica, huddling together on the ice, Elephants in Africa having a bath in the river, a friends pet or any other animals you like, wonder about them and what they may be doing in that very moment.  The more you can clear your mind to focus the better.

I visualised this last night and it gave me an enormously peaceful feeling and completely connected with the world, I think I may have fallen asleep very quickly.

Holiday Dogs Group Walk in aid of the Animal Health Trust

Talking Paws teamed up with Holiday Dogs and Dog House Suffolk today for a Charity Walk along the Languard Fort area in Felixstowe to raise money for the Animal Health Trust to help with their investigations in to SCI (Seasonal Canine Illness).

It was a fantastic turn out, all the dogs enjoyed themselves as did their owners, press photos were posed for, shrubs and posts were scent marked, hair was blown in every direction, fun was had in the sea, then off home for a nice cup of tea!!

Photos and information on monies raised to follow.

First ABc's Session

Today's first session of ABc's 4 Dogs was a success, thank you to those who gave up their Saturday morning to learn more about their furry friends and thank you all for helping me get the hall back to order.

We had a nice group of around 11 dog owners.  Today we talked about the concept of the technique Amichien Bonding, discussed Feeding and the problems that can occur around this area.

The rest of today was spent walking a Long Haired Dachshund, then helping a lovely family to introduce their 6 year old staffy to their beautiful deaf bull terrier puppy.

A great day.

Looking forward to seeing you all next week.

Talking Paws making Headlines

Rachael of Talking Paws received a full page spread in the Evening Gazette on Monday.  The article talks of how Rachael quit her high flying city job to concentrate on Dog Listening and her experiences of looking after wolves in Colorado.

Digital version available soon.

Puppy Group - Kesgrave

A new puppy group has been  formed to help young pups get together in a fun and relaxed environment.  These groups are run by Rachael from 'Talking Paws' and Mary-Ann Sherwood-Clarke from Holiday Dogs.  Each session gives you help and advice and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.  It's all completely free and will take place on Sundays at 10am.  There will be a block of 4 weekly sessions lasting 30 minutes each.

There will be 15 minutes talk with Rachael for lots of practical advise to set you on the right path to having a happy and relaxed pup!   There will also be a 15 minute puppy playtime and a little walk together with Mary-Ann.

Due to the popularity of the puppy groups, we are now offering another block of 4 sessions starting Sunday 30th October.  Please note that spaces are limited so contact Mary-Ann on 07840 871547 to reserve a place.

Separated at 8 weeks, these two puppies made headlines.  Shortly after meeting it was discovered they were long lost brothers, well long lost over 5 weeks anyway!!
